Project Wraps Up on One of Arkansas’ Most Frequently Used Highways

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) announced the completion of the 30 Crossing project, a major infrastructure upgrade on one of the state’s busiest highways, enhancing access to downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock. This project, part of the Connecting Arkansas Program, involved widening Interstate 30, modifying interchanges, and improving local roadways. A key highlight is the replacement of a 3,360-foot bridge over the Arkansas River, designed to improve traffic flow and safety. Utilizing an innovative design-build delivery method, the project overcame numerous challenges, including workforce and supply chain issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.
